Education Research Fellow

The Deafness Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of a Research Fellowship to support an individual to undertake formative research or a pilot study in an area of education research to benefit children and young people who are deaf or hard of hearing.  The fellowship is valued at $30,000 and is required to address one of the following six specific topic areas:

  1. Children and young people with hearing loss and disabilities or learning needs;
  2. Mental health and executive functioning in children and young people with hearing loss;
  3. Educational outcomes for children who have a late-diagnosis of hearing loss;
  4. Language and academic outcomes in sign bilingual programs;
  5. Inclusion for children and young people with hearing loss;
  6. Outcomes for children and young people who enter school with little or no language.
